The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Velocity Software, Inc for zVPS Performance Suite proprietary licenses and software for the IRS Information Technology business unit.  The Velocity z/VPS Performance Suite z/VPS software is required to provide an integrated performance monitoring solution on the z/VM operating system on System z. The anticipated date of contract award is June 27, 2016. 

This NOTICE is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and no solicitation will  be publicized.  However, if you have the capability to fulfill this requirement, you may submit such capabilities in writing to the IRS Point of Contact. Written response to this NOTICE must be provided to this office electronically no later than by June 24, 2016 @ 5:00 PM, Eastern Time.  The Contracting Officer will make the final determination of capabilities for this requirement.
