Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH) has a requirement to purchase Zeiss OS Forum System for use in the Surgery Department for diagnostic and treatment procedures. The government intends to procure the required equipment on a sole source basis from PROAIM America, L.L.C.(PROAIM) Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, Inc.(Zeiss) is the manufacturer, and PROAIM has been designated as the distributor of Zeiss ophthalmic and optometric instrumentation in the United States. Further, this equipment has a unique capability it links all ophthalmic systems into one program and is universally compatible with full integration with the PACs system at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). In addition, the product is also unique in that it is a completely wireless system that complements Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA). Lastly, the hospital is standardizing its Ophthalmology Clinic by enhancing the existing system, this equipment will support the ongoing DHA standardization initiatives program across the National Capitol Region. Responsible sources not solicited for this requirement may submit a capability statement for the agency's consideration. However, prospective offerors are advised that the agency has authorized procurement of the required equipment under other that full and open competition under FAR 6.3.
