The Kootenai National Forest, Cabinet Ranger District, is soliciting quotations for the Vermillion RAC project. Work consists of constructing 28 dips, 301 feet of surface water deflectors, installing and replacing culverts, raising the road bed, and constructing a French drain (150 feet). A portion of the road and in-sloping road will be moved and berms will be constructed. Blading will take place on 13.68 miles of road and grid rolling will occur on 10 miles of road. Estimated start date is 6/15/07 with a completion date of 9/1/07. Price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
