The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Project # 646-13-112, "CWT RENOVATION". This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All SDVOSB offerors must be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). Interested parties should also register as such on the FBO website. This project involves renovating and repairing 2 CWT (Compensated Work Therapy) buildings operated by the VA. 1 is located in Point Breeze, PA and the other is in Penn Hills, PA. Renovations (broadly stated) will include 6 bathrooms, 4 kitchens, numerous bedrooms, cabinets, flooring, countertops, appliances, replacement of water heaters, repairs to gutters and downspouts, brick pointing, etc. The applicable NAICS code is 236118 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. In accordance with FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least fifteen days before issuance of the solicitation. The solicitation with any and all pertinent information, including specs, drawings, and amendments will be subsequently published on the Fed Biz Ops website. Proposals will be due 30 days after the solicitation is issued and any resulting contract will be awarded no later than September 30, 2013. The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
