UPGRADE LIGHTING FOR USE AT 50HZ AT LAJES FIELD, AZORES, PORTUGAL. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Survey the current installed lighting equipment to determine the technically acceptable change to adequately provide light output for the building’s use when operating at 50 Hz and perform that accepted change, while meeting the USAF Bioengineering minimum foot-candle or lumen standards for the function served by the installation. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance Price Trade-off procedures will be utilized for this procurement and technical proposals may be requested. The proposals will be solicited on a firm-fixed price lump sum basis. North American Industry Classification System assigned to this acquisition is 238210. This procurement is restricted to Mainland Portugal and its territories in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement between Portugal and the United States dated 1995. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal (RFP) may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. The RFP package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 1 Jun 04. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held at Lajes Field on or about 18 Jun 04. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, plans, specification, or drawings will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government’s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium.
