Snowmobile trail grooming on the Sierraville and Truckee Districts of the Tahoe National Forest. Contractor to provide equipment and snow grooming services on approximately 140 miles of trail (USFS system roads). Schedule would be to groom 90 - 100 miles of trail per week for approximately 15 weeks depending on weather/snow conditions. Estimated start work date December 15, 2002. The project is located 15 miles North on State Highway 90 from Truckee, CA, to Little Truckee Summit. Turn left onto Sierra County Road 310 (Jackson Meadow Road). This is the Little Truckee Summit Winter Trailhead and where the grooming project is centered. Estimated solicitation issue date October 21, 2002.
