The Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Ave Syracuse, NY 13210, intends to release an invitation for bid (IFB) numbered VA242-17-B- 0619 Project No. 528A7-15-712 Upgrade Air Handling Unit (AHU) 05 and Exhaust Fan (EF) on or about 10 Jul 2017. This project proposes to demolition & dispose of existing units AHU-05/EF-5, outdoor intake louvers, pumps, heat exchangers, VFDs, auxiliary components, ductwork, piping, insulation, sprinkler heads/piping, and steel dunnage. The work includes installation of new units AHU-05/EF-5, including new piping, ductwork, insulation, controls and air and hydronic systems testing & balancing. Contractor is required to provide temporary equipment to maintain space temperature/humidity and ventilation requirements. The units serve floors 4, 5, 6 & 7 and these areas will remain operational during construction. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238220, with a Small Business Size Standard of $15 Million. THIS IS SET ASIDE 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. Offers from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. The offeror must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and listed as a CERTIFIED VETERAN ENTERPRISE and be VERIFIED in the VetBiz database under the applicable NAICS at time of offer and time of award. Firms may obtain VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $500,000 to $1,000,000 The firms are required to self-perform 25% of the work and will be required to show in detail the breakdown to be submitted with the bid. Firms will also be required to supply the EMR rating at time of bid. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. A 20% Bid Bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full IFB will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203
