The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), 5630 Fishers Lane, HFA-521, Rockville, MD 20857, intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 from The JBG Companies (the lessor of the building) for the renovation of the FDA building at 5630 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20857. 5630 Fishers Lane is owned by The JBG Companies and leased through GSA, the lessor has first refusal for any alteration of the property. The work will be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work to be included in the RFP. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation will be posted to http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received on or before the response date indicated in this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
