DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the following: 1) reconstruction of existing trailhead loop road; 2) widening of existing road section at the fee station (includes construction of a new entrance/information/fee station); 3) construction of an ATV trail; 4) and the construction of a new road and parking spurs as shown on the drawings. Work will include but is not limited to the following: excavation, landscaping, provision and placement of aggregate, grading and reconditioning of roadway surfaces, installation of new culverts, clearing and grubbing, and seeding, fertilizing and mulching of construction-disturbed areas. Contractor will also be required to construct or furnish and install the following: bulletin/information board; concrete walkways, concrete curbs, parking spur bumpers, a picnic table, a grill, regulation road signs, and fencing (new fence material as well as removal and re-installation of existing fence).
GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $25,000 and $100,000.
LOCATION: Bethel Trailhead is located in Section 36 Range 10 West Township 4 South, within the administrative boundaries of the Desoto Ranger District, National Forests in Mississippi, Harrison County, Mississippi.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contract time will be 90 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed.
SITE VISIT: The date, time and location of a formal site visit, if scheduled, will be in the solicitation that will post to this site.
CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications database prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
