This is a major reconstruction project on Forest Road (FS) Rd 27. Reconstruction consists of shifting the centerline of the existing road approximately 3-4 feet to the left. This will require the cut slopes to be excavated to allow for the new road widths. Project will require removal of approximately 40 existing corrugated metal relief pipes, and reinstallation of new pipes and down spouts as directed on the drainage sheet. The project is located on FS Rd 27 between Kmp. 9.66 and 14.48 on the Lookout Mountain Ranger District of the Ochoco National Forest. Contractor shall furnish construction materials as per contract requirements. It is the contractorââ¬â¢s responsibility to remove the old pipes and dispose of them off federal lands. Work associated with this project also includes: Maintaining FS Roads 2705 and 2710 as a detour while FS road 27 is under reconstruction; haul and placement of pit run aggregate; haul and placement of crushed aggregate for a base course and an asphalt overlay. This road will have super-elevations built into the curves as shown on the drawingsThe contractor is responsible for all required permits, unless otherwise noted.
