The estimated price range of the work is $250,000 to $500,000. This project is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. The work to be performed under this solicitation consists of designing, furnishing and installing temporary carbon dioxide (CO2) supply for six generators in the Third Powerplant; removing the existing 24-ton low pressure CO2 storage unit containing R12 refrigerant; and designing, furnishing and installing a new low pressure CO2 storage unit with EPA approved refrigerant; and new pressure relief and isolating valves associated with the new system and upgrade modifications as necessary, including interfacing of the new installation to the existing power and controls. The Third Powerplant of the Grand Coulee Dam is located in Okanagan County, 90 miles west of Spokane, Washington. The solicitation will be available on CD-ROM in Adobe Acrobat format and will be available on or about September 5, 2005 (this is an estimated date).
