Q 1700 02 0202. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about August 16, 2002. Solicitation packages can be obtained from on-line or by sending fax or mail requests to Linda McFarland at number/address listed below. The work of this contract consists of clearing a 50-foot wide boundary fuel break on surveyed property lines. All lines will be flagged, signed and delineated in advance of work to be performed with access through parklands only. Travel to worksites by motorized vehicles is on established roads. All off road travel will be by foot; no motorized ATV vehicles are allowed. The boundary areas range from open, flat, rock face and slopes to some steep and uneven terrain while encountering all types of forest/fuel types as bog, grass, dead and downed tree areas to dense soft and hardwood stands. The cutting, thinning and pruning will be by manual means using chainsaws, brush cutters, pole saws/pruners and handtools. Disposal of debris can be chipped when possible and dispersed inside of park boundaries. NAICS 113310, Logging. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Hard copy quote documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted). Quotes must be received at Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 byclose of business on September 10, 2002 local prevailing time. A complete quote package shall include the original completed SF 18, Request for Quotation with original signature, completed quote schedule; and completed section K, Representations and Certifications. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and price related factors included in the solicitation.
