This acquisition is being offered for full and open competition is subject to the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code of 235990, with a size standard of $11.5M. This project involves furnishing all labor, equipment, appliances, and material and in performing all necessary travel and services required to replace the cathodic protection system deep anode beds installed at various missile sites; Missile Alert Facilities (MAFs) and Launch Facilities (LFs) in Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska. The contractor shall install new anodes and anode leads in new boreholes and connects to the existing junction box and rectifier. The contractor shall be required to demonstrate adequate impressed current cathodic protection for underground structures associated with each site. The Base Civil Engineer will identify construction requirements and the installation Contracting Office will issue individual delivery orders to the contractor to complete those projects. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to design, manage and accomplish the project. The performance period for the resultant construction requirements contract as a result of this solicitation will be 12 months for the basic year with three 12-month option periods. There will be a winter exclusion period for this project starting 1 November through 30 April. The issuance date for this solicitation is anticipated to be on or about 13 March 2002, with a closing date approximately 30 days after issuance.
