Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)-Iowa City, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract to provide all professional, technical and investigative services required to prepare working drawings and specifications and provide construction period services for "Replace B and C Elevators" at the VAMC in Iowa City, IA. NAICS Code 541330, size standard $4.5 million, applies. The scope of work for this project shall include but not be limited to the design services for the replacement and/or upgrade of the B bank and C bank elevators. The design will result in the replacement of the microprocessor controllers, installation of pulse drives, and replacement of landing systems, and upgrade of fire service operation and other aspects of the elevator operation to meet current code. The HVAC systems serving the A, B, & C banks of elevators shall be replaced and/or upgraded to meet the cooling needs of the elevator operating equipment. Existing architectural, electrical and mechanical components will require evaluation for replacement and/or size changes. A/E contract will include design (with reviews), reproduction of bid documents, construction period services, final inspections and as-built drawings.
