This presolicitation is to notify interested contractors a solicitation will be issued for Acute Inpatient Ward Renovations - Wings 6B, 7B, & 8B. Contractor will provide all supervision, labor, tools and equipment for Acute Inpatient Ward Renovations - Wings 6B, 7B, & 8B in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin. Complete renovation of approximately 16,700 GSF of Hospital Wings 6B (Partial), 7 & 8B, and a 3,100 GSF addition to 8B. Work to include phased construction, extensive demolition, general construction, casework, signage, pneumatic tube system, plumbing, medical gases, fire protection, mechanical, controls, electrical, voice and data, nurse call intercoms, intensive care monitoring systems, wonder guard system, telemetry and all related work. Estimated cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAIC) is 236220, and the size standard is $28.5 million. The procurement is being made under FAR Part 14, and is not set-aside. All potential bidders will be responsible to monitor the web site for the release of the synopsis and amendments, if any.
