The Georgia Army National Guard (GaARNG) intends to issue a sole source award to the University of Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program to support and facilitate the Georgia National Guard Youth Symposium. The State Youth Symposium is to bring dependents, ages 13-18, of Georgia National Guard members together for three days where enhancement to their life skills will occur, promote leadership, resilience and personal development. This event will be coordinated by Georgia 4-H staff in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the symposium. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for this service. The Statutory Authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition for this action is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, when there is supply or service available only from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or service will satisfy the agency's needs. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis with The University of Georgia of 310 E. Campus Road, Tucker Hall Room 409, Athens, GA 30602-1589. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
