(This project has been re-named as the North Fork Nooksack bridges installation). This project consists of the installation of up to (4) four pre-fabricated bridges in the North Fork Nooksack drainage. The bridges include Upper Canyon #3170-1.1, Razorhone #3070-1.3, Bagley #3070-2.0 and Anderson Creek #3071-1.0. The first three sites are replacements of existing log stringer bridges and the fourth site is a replacement of two 48? CMPs. Work includes but is not limited to erosion control & resource protection; removal of existing bridges and culverts; riprap; bridge installation (including footings); and minor approach work (including aggregate surfacing). The window for instream work is June 1st to September 30th, it is anticipated that the installation of these bridges will occur in 2007. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is July 2007. Estimated start work date is August 2007 and the contract work time is approx 60 days. The Governments estimated price range is between $150,000 and $250,000. Bonding will be required for this project. To reach the Upper Canyon #3170-1.1 bridge site, from Glacier, WA take SR 542 east for approx 1.5 miles, take the Canyon Creek Road #31 for 13.4 miles and then take Road #3170 for 1.1 miles to site. To reach the Razorhone #3070-1.3 and Bagley #3070-2.0 bridge sites, from Glacier, WA take SR 542 east for approx 12 miles to Silver Firs Campground and then take Road #3070 (on left side of highway, through the parking lot) for 1.3 miles and 2.0 miles to sites. To reach the Anderson Creek Bridge #3071-1.0, Road #3071 is right across from SR 542 from Road #3070; take Road #3071 1.0 miles to site.
