The Forest Service will be issuing a solicitation for the construction of an approximately 11,000 square foot LEED? certified office building in Truckee, California. The cost range will be from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.The office will require a prospective contractor to be conversant with the LEED? process, which may include re-cycle products, local material sources, re-cycle of waste materials, necessary documentation, etc. In addition, the building design will include energy efficient features that may not be conventional in nature. Estimated solicitation issue date 9/4/07. Estimated start work date 10/15/2007.
