Project includes improving the existing motorized portage trail, including brushing, trail reconditioning, trail resurfacing, constructing new T-turn arounds at the Lake Vermillion landing and at the Trout Lake landing, and abandoned trail rehabilitation on the north side of Lake Vermillion. A portion of the work can be done by motorized equipment. The remainder of the work shall be done with hand tools only. This project is water-access only. Project is located in St. Louis County, about 6 miles north of Tower Minnesota. The desired date for starting work is approximately June 10, 2005.
