The Forest Service will be accepting offers for the Stanza-Bishop Fish Passage Rehab. This project will provide for replacement of three existing stream crossings, two with a structural steel bottomless arch culverts. One site will consist of a bottomless box culvert installed at a 45 degree skew with concrete headwalls and concrete road surface. The project is located approximately 14 miles south of Happy Camp in the Elk Creek Drainage. The work will consist of complete creek channel diversion and removal of corrugated structural plate pipes. Construction of one temporary by-pass road, installation of a bottomless arch and box culverts. The project will require excavating of large fills and hauling and placing of fill and waste material. The project will also require haul and placement of Forest Service provided crushed rock. LOCATION: Project is located on the Happy Camp Ranger District, Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. From Yreka, proceed north on State Route 263 about 8 miles to the junction with State Highway 96. Turn left and proceed approximately 64 miles to Happy Camp and the junction with County Road 7C001, the Elk Creek Road. Proceed south for approximately 14.0 miles to the junction of 15N08 near the project site. See solicitation for locality map. CONTRACT TIME: 140 calendar days. Work is estimated to start approximately June 12, 2004. Solicitation estimated issue date is May 26, 2004, with an estimated due date of June 24, 2004.
