Description of Work: This is a construction project where the vendor is to furnish labor, equipment, supplies and materials, except for specified Government-furnished property, to mitigate saline seep below Violet Reservoir in the Lime Creek Drainage in Valley County Montana. This will include installing a geo-drain in a cutoff trench below Violet Reservoir's embankments. Moisture control fabric will also be used under imported fill. Two feet of new embankment will be placed over the fabric in the areas of the saline seep. _______ The Request for Quote will be posted on Fedbizopps.gov on or about Tuesday, August 9, 2005 and will close on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 unless otherwise amended. A site tour is planned for Wednesday, August 24 at 10 a.m. Everyone is to meet at the Glasgow Field Station located on Highway 2 West of Glasgow Montana. Please provide your own transportation - high clearance four wheel drives are recommended since some travel over unimproved roads will be required. Award is tentatively scheduled for September 8, 2005 with the start date scheduled as early as late September, 2005. The work is to begin within ten days of receiving the Notice to Proceed and is to be completed within 14 days.
