The intent of this project is to reconstruct the existing roadway (BIA Route 1) with some vertical and horizontal alignment changes. The project begins at Big Badger Creek Bridge and continues southeasterly until it terminates approximately one mile south of Heart Butte. Proposed borehole locations are marked on the preliminary plans. Contractor shall furnish all required materials, equipment and personnel to conduct a geotechnical analysis of the proposed roadway. Contractor shall submit a geotechnical engineer's report with recommendations to aid the design of the new roadway including a typical section, pavement design, and settlement calculation (fill sections greater than 10 feet), recommended fill and cut slopes ratios for fill greater than 20 feet and cut slopes greater than 20 feet. Final report shall include engineering assumptions, data, and calculations used to arrive at the recommendations and sufficient data to complete final design of the new roadway.
