The project includes the demolition of Building 20's existing roofing complete to the roof deck (20,000 sf), including roof membrane, insulation, flashing, gutters, trim and accessories complete. New single ply EPDM membrane roofing and new rigid insulation will be provided for Building 20 as well as new gutters, edge metal, flashings, trim and accessories for a complete installation. The existing roof access ladder will be demolished and a new safety ladder will be installed for access to the canopy and high roof area. Based on the existing roof construction date of 1992, no ACM is anticipated to be disturbed by this project.

The storm drain system from the building downspout cleanouts to the main collection point will be scoped and cleaned as a part of this project. The contractor shall provide video evidence of the cleaning and determine the condition of the piping and if any additional repairs need to be made to ensure proper drainage.

The design also includes the installation of a lightning protection system; the building does not currently have a lightning protection system.

The canopy will be addressed as a bid option. If this bid option is selected, the canopy roofing and edge metal will be demolished and replaced with new EPDM roofing to match the main roof as a bid option. Retrofit roof drains will be installed and connected to existing piping and the existing heat trace system below the canopy will remain.

In addition, the contractor shall provide proof of being a certified installer of and EPDM Roofing Manufacturer's system. The contractor shall also include five (5) specific examples of the firm's experience performing the work requirements stated above. The projects must have been performed within the last five years. The EPDM roof replacement experience shall have been performed over the past five years and shall include: 1) project name and location; 2) initial and final cost of the project; 3) firms(s) performing the work on the project and percentage performed by each; 4) Customer point of contact with contact information (address, telephone, job title, etc.); 5) date of project construction. Also indicate the team subcontractors that will be used to support the offeror's effort on the project requirements mentioned above.

The solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date is planned to be available in late July, 2015.
