Clam Lake Multi-Purpose Dam Emergency Spillway Repair and Access Road
The proposed work is to restore the function of the emergency spillway at the Clam Lake Multi-Purpose Dam Site located in Sandisfield, MA, Berkshire County, by constructing an access road and a gabion drop structure.
The major items of work include approximately: 14,200 CY of earth excavation; 3,300 CY of earthfill; 700 CY of gabions; 2,000 CY of drainfill; 3610 tons of rock riprap; 450 SF of geocell retaining wall; topsoiling and seeding.
A site visit is scheduled for June 10th, 2004 at 9:30 am at the Sandisfield Library and Community Center. **Directions: approximately 1 mile west of the intersection of Route 57 and Route 8. ( South side of Route 57, sign in front of the building).
The magnitude of work for this project is estimated to be between $ 500,000 and $ 1,000,000. Davis-Bacon Wage Rates will apply to this project. The NAIC code is 237990 and the small business size standard is $ 28.5 million dollars.
The Invitation for Bid (IFB ) Package for this project, to include the specifications and drawings will be posted to this web site on or around May 28th 2004.
