Work Description: This project will consist of the following: Site A consists of covering scoured and eroded areas with concrete to prevent future scouring, as well as the removal of sediment to improve drainage. Site B consists of covering scoured and eroded areas with concrete to prevent future scouring, as well as the removal of sediment to improve drainage. Site C consists of the removal of debris and sediment along Clarendon Creek to improve drainage and prevent future debris accumulation in the creek. Site D consists of the installation of concrete curb and gutter, and asphalt pavement on an existing alley to prevent future scouring and provide access to sanitation and utility services. Site D also includes the installation of a concrete landscape wall to line a section of channel downstream of the paved alley. Site E consists of the construction of a waterway and rehabilitation of Thurman road to prevent future scouring and improve drainage. Materials to be utilized in these works of improvement include approximately 7,000 cu.yds. of excavation, 5,000 cu.yds. of spec earthfill, 270 cu.yds. of placed concrete, corrugated metal pipe, 150 tons of loose rock riprap, 1,400 lin.ft. of field fence, 1,100 sq.ft. of landscape wall, 4,600 sq.yds. of erosion mat, and up to 4,500 sq.yds. of asphalt paving. Only one award will be made for the entire project. The NAICS Code is 237990. Performance period will be 129 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed date, which will be approximately March 6, 2003. A 20% bid bond will be required. Performance and payment bonds of 100% each will be required of the contractor awarded this contract. This project is unrestricted and is not set- aside. Price range is from $250,000 to $500,000. Site showing will be conducted on February 5, 2003, 10:00 A.M., at the City Hall, 119 South Sully, Clarendon, Texas.
