The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessadry to complete this project. The work includes but in not limited to the following: removing three 477,000 cm ACSR conductors each approximately 9.07 miles in length; furnishing and installing three 477,000 cm ACSS conductors each approximately 9.07 miles in length and compression dead-end fittings for the conductor; removing 23 single wood poles and associated insulators and hardware; furnishing and installing 23 single wood poles and associated insulators and hardware; removing two 115,000 Volt interrupter line switches and ground blades; furnishing and installing two 115,000 Volt interrupter line switches and ground blades and furnishing spare parts including two-piece compression fittings and two-piece splices. The estimated order of magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This purposed procurement is a Full and Open. The work shall be conducted in Morgan County, Colorado. There will be only one award from this solicitation, therefore all Bidders must submit an "all or none basis". This solicitation will be issued on or about August 22, 2003. The closing date will be on or about September 22, 2003. National American Industry Classification Code is 237130 and the applicable size standard is $28.5 million. Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. The work shall be completed no later than May 31, 2004. The solicitation will be posted electronically at this web site.
