DESIGN-BUILD STANDARD EMBASSY DESIGN PROJECTS BAGHDAD, IRAQ. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking to pre-qualify firms for design-build services for the execution of a a New Embassy Compound (NEC). The project will consist of the design and construction of a complex to house U.S. Diplomatic functions in Baghdad, Iraq. The project will be executed through four separate prime contracts. Each contract is described below and may include a New Office Building (NOB) based on the DOS Standard Embassy Design (SED); General Services Offices (GSO) and associated maintenance and warehouse facilities; housing; support facilities; perimeter compound security; site infrastructure; vehicular and pedestrian access control facilities; parking; site recreational facilities; Marine Security Guard Quarters (MSGQ); and office annexes.
