Project Summary: The contractor is to furnish labor, equipment, supplies and materials necessary to reclaim (involves leveling and or modifying) twelve (12) man-made nesting islands in the area of Dibbler Reservoir located in Northern Phillips County in Montana. Seven of the islands are to be modified by truncating the islands by nine feet and using that material to enlarge the base area of the island. The other five islands are to be removed completely and the material returned to natural contours. 16,500 cubic yards of common excavation is expected. The purpose of this earth work project is to improve migratory bird nesting habitat and restore natural drainage. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. 100% payment protection is required for construction contracts awarded over $30,000.
