This notice serves to announce the 81st Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source contract for Luminex Reagent Kits for the Keesler Medical Center located at Keesler Air Force Base, MS.
The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to the Sources Sought Announcement, issued on 23 February 2017, titled xTag Cystic Fibrosis Kits with Solicitation # FA3010xTAG_CF_Kits. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice.
The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 325413 (In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing) and the size standard is 1,250 employees. This acquisition will be solicited as a commercial item using FAR 12 procedures.
The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price requirements type contract as a result of soliciting and negotiating with only one source. The ordering period for this requirement is estimated to be 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2022.
