The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to post a Request for Proposal (RFP) for work to develop a rendering engine to display a human-readable version of a document that was submitted in Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format to the Electronic Data Gathering Analysis and Retrieval (EDGAR) system. This notice is to inform potential bidders because this work is in conjunction with ongoing Commission rulemaking activities, the RFP response time and development time are expected to be accordingly short. The RFP describing the requirements for this work is expected to be posted on this website by mid-July 2008.
