The US Geological Survey is seeking hotel facilities for a 3-day conference of approximately 315 individuals at the following locations: Greater Washington DC, Arlington VA, Alexandria VA, Reston VA, Bethesda MD, and Potomac MD. Conference dates are April 23-26, 2007. No other dates will be considered. The facility must accommodate approximately 135 guests peak night for 4 nights. Arrival will be April 22, 2007 (for approximately 8 individuals). Departure will be April 26, 2007 for the majority of the individuals. Rooms shall be single occupancy and be within Government per diem rate. Use of an adjacent hotel to accommodate overflow guest rooms is not acceptable. The hotel must be capable of providing meals and other restaurant facilities on the premises. Two refreshment breaks per day requested as complimentary to be included in the total meeting room package. Two continental breakfasts, one evening reception, two luncheons, and one dinner function need to be accommodated. The hotel must provide conference rooms, 1 large meeting room which accommodates 330 individuals in plenary session, classroom style and a minimum of 4 additional, concurrent breakout rooms, also classroom style to accommodate 90 individuals. In addition, 8 breakout rooms to accommodate 40-50 individuals may be needed on Monday or Thursday. All meeting rooms must be capable of being equipped with various audio visual equipment. The hotel must have hard wired high speed Internet services in meeting spaces as this agency is not authorized to use wi-fi.
