These accommodations will be paid for by the VAHS for those eligible veterans who may have to travel long distances the day before or the day after a scheduled appointment. Only patients normally discharged to their home will be considered for lodging. Hotel/motel shall be located within between a five (5) or ten (10) mile radius of the participating VAHS. PARTICIPATING HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS: This RFI is a precursor to the Market Research/Survey requirements of a forth-coming Request For Quote (RFQ) scheduled to be announced on or about April 1, 2012 on FedBizOps online contractor community portal. The VAHS anticipates entering into a fixed price Multiple Award Basic Ordering Agreement (contract) with two (2) or more contractors providing the best value to the Government. Contract awards will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price proposal that meets or exceeds the acceptability standard for non-cost factors. The contract will be for a base period, and contains a clause for four (4) one-year option periods. To be considered for award, the contractor shall provide pricing for the base year period, and for all option year periods.
