GSA intends to negotiate a 5-year succeeding lease with this location. GSA, however, will consider other buildings provided they meet the criteria in this announcement and can prove overall cost effectiveness when considering relocation costs of furniture and telecommunications, tenant improvements and other factors.
The rentable space must yield approximately 13,850 usable square feet for use by government personnel, furnishings and equipment. Floor plates must have potential
for efficient space layout A variety of inexpensive and moderately priced fast food and/or eat-in restaurants must be located within three blocks as well as other amenities such as retail shops, cleaners, banks, etc. must also be available within one-quarter mile.
Buildings offered must be of sound and substantial construction of the type generally recognized for warehouse use and have adequate means of ingress and egress; must fully meet the accessibility requirements of the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standard (UFAS); must be altered or constructed to meet the governmentââ¬â¢s requirement, and must be fully serviced. The building must also conform to the seismic requirements for new construction or the current edition of the Uniform Building Code if the lateral load resisting system is of concrete, masonry or steel composition. The buildings offered must not contain sprayed-on fireproofing or acoustical treatment containing asbestos.
