The contractor shall provide capabilities for voice communications between the Weapon Training System (WTS) and Navigation (NAV) labs at Trident Training Facility, Bangor (TTFBA) and Trident Training Facility, Kings Bay (TTFKB). The connectivity shall be through the Integrated Interior Communication System (IICS).

Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), Pittsfield, MA. GDMS is the sole manufacturer of the Trident (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System. GDMS is the only source with an in-depth knowledge and expertise in the SWS Fire Control System and who is familiar with the SWS Navigation system and has in-place capability, which are all a necessity to perform the required effort. In addition, to the items above GDMS is the only source that has in-depth experience and expertise in performing work in accordance with Ordnance Document (OD) directives and the T9001B checklist dated September 9, 2015 Training Type and Operational Support Column as is required to fulfill this requirement.
