The project consists of the installation of a new fiber optic Ring and build-outs throughout the Akron Water Reclamation Facility as well as the associated hardware and appurtenances. Portions of the new fiber optic ring will be installed in newly buried conduit, new conduit runs throughout buildings, new overhead fiber runs, and new fiber runs pulled through existing spare conduit. A new wall will be constructed in the Training Facility to create a new server room along with dedicated cooling. The Administration Building will have the server room UPS replaced and a new panelboard installed for distribution of the backed up circuits. New clean agent fire protection systems will be installed in the Training Facility and the Administration Building server rooms.
