CITY OF MEDFORDWPR 2101 AND WPR 2102 RWRF PRIMARY AND HEADWORKS TREATMENT STRUCTURE REHABILITATION Bids Due 2:00 pm, June 8, 2023 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORSSealed proposals addressed to the Public Works Director, City of Medford, Oregon, endorsed "RWRF Primary and Headworks Treatment Structure Rehabilitation WPR 2102 and WPR 2102", will be received at the office of the WRD Project Manager, 1100 Kirtland Road, Central Point, OR 97502, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, June 8, 2023, and thereafter will be opened publicly and read and will then be referred to the City Council. This project includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct the following: Work at the headworks includes rehabilitation of the influent box and manual screen bypass at the headworks including bypass pumping to divert plant flows, concrete rehabilitation and installing an epoxy liner within the influent box and manual screen bypass and replacing the existing gratings at the manual screen bypass. Work at the primary treatment structure includes demolition and reconstruction of concrete walkways, concrete rehabilitation and installing an epoxy liner within an interior channel, rehabilitation of expansion joints, replacement of elastomeric sealant at expansion joints within the primary clarifier basin, installing support brackets to support tie-beam key joints, reconstruction of gratings and supports, replacement of the existing mechanical sludge removal system in-kind (equipment provided by Owner), replacement of the primary clarifier washdown system including piping, valves, and hosebib installation, and replacement of spray heads. Work also includes allowances for concrete crack repairs by epoxy injection, and spot repairs of concrete spalls on stairways, walkways, walls, and other features at the headworks and primary treatment structure. A Bid Bond to like effect and amount with a corporate surety will be acceptable for this project. Bids must be in writing and signed by or on behalf of the bidders. All Bidders shall be prequalified with the City of Medford, as provided by law under Oregon Revised Statutes, at least 5 days prior to opening of bids. All of the provisions of Section 279C.800 through 279C.870 ORS, as amended by Senate Bill 477, relating to wage rates to be paid on all contracts for Public Works in this state must be complied with and the statement attesting to the contractor's willingness to do so must be signed and submitted with the bid. All bidders must state at the appropriate place in the bid documents, whether or not the bidder is a resident as defined in ORS 279A.120. A percentage increase, as determined by the Department of General Services, will be added to nonresident's bids for the purpose of determining the lowest qualified bidder.
