The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) intends to award a sole source contract action to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), located at 600 5th Street NW, Washington DC 20001, for OPIC's Transit Subsidy Program. WMATA shall provide SmarTrip cards; a web-based system to enter monthly fare amount(s) to the card with the ability to allow employees to utilize other surrounding transit systems affiliated with WMATA. Smart Benefits are the only form of fare media accepted by the District of Columbia METRO system and all other public transportation providers in the Washington, D.C. area. OPIC intends to issue a sole source contract action each year until the program expires. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). This is not a request for proposals nor will a solicitation be issued.
