The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Office of Procurement, intends to award a sole source contract for their Transist Subsiday Program to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transist Authority (WMATA). The Contractor shall provide BLS with SmarTrip cards; a web-based system to enter monthly fare amount(s) to the card; and the ability to allow employees to utilize other surrounding transist systems affliated with WMATA via their card. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with economic adjustments for a base year plus four option years and the period of performance is from 8/1/2013 to 9/30/2018. The NAICS code is 485111 and size standard is approximately 12,000 employees with a $2.7 billion budget for the upcoming year. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 6.302.
