PART C- TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1.0 SCOPE Alachua County is soliciting quotes to upgrade the existing windows in the B & C zone recreation yards located at the Alachua County Jail located at 3333 NE 39th AVE Gainesville FL The provisions contained in this section are intended to be cooperative with, to supplement, or to modify Instructions to Bidders and Terms and Conditions. In case of any conflict with such sections, the intent of any kind and all Technical Specifications shall govern. 1.1 Description of Goods and Services 1.1.1 Provide labor and material to convert the existing Rec-yard glass to store front aluminum windows and frames. This upgrade will replace all glass and window frames with new store front aluminum windows. This includes new window glass and frames, insulation, trim and finishes. This upgrade will include a one year parts and labor warranty. 1.2 Materials 1.2.1 Material and labor to furnish and install 31 window frames and trim package. 1.2.2 Material and labor to furnish and install (31) thirty one lites 9/16 OA Armor Protect plus 121100 insulated glass. 1.2.3 Approximate Glass Sizes 1.2.3.1 (4) Four 48x102 1.2.3.2 (26) Twenty Six 46x102 1.2.3.3 (1) One 44x102 1.3 Disposal of Debris 1.3.1 Is the responsibility of the selected bidder. 1.4 Scheduling 1.4.1 Contractor shall provide a construction schedule and hold a kick-off meeting two weeks prior to the start of the project. Contractor is required to check in to the Jail facilities daily. A tool and equipment check-in and check-out procedure is required upon entering and exiting the facility.
