This is a Synopsis and a Notice of Intent to award to a sole-source contractor.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE.

The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to award a sole-source contract to USI Electronics. The USAF requires one (1) Wind River VxWorks 6.9 license and one (1) Workbench with one (1) year of support and maintenance. Details of the requirement can be found in the attached product description.

Wind River is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this software while USI Electronics is the prime vendor for all Government sales.

Wind River VxWorks and Workbench is used to compile and test embedded aircraft software modifications prior to delivery to the F-15 System Integrator. Any other vendor would require significant Research & Development to provide a similar software which will be identical in form, fit and function to what Wind River can provide.
