PROPOSERS DAY:
DARPA will host a Proposers Day in support of HR001123S0007, the Willow program, on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the Strategic Analysis Executive Conference Center at 4075 Wilson Blvd, Suite 300, Arlington, VA, 22203 from 8:00 a.m. (registration start time) until approximately 1:00 p.m.. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Willow program, address questions from potential proposers, and provide a forum for potential proposers to meet with potential teammates.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The objective of the Willow program is to develop innovative payloads to conduct Acoustic Warfare to counter active surface sonars. Payloads will be deployed on “nodes” (e.g., unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), buoys, moored systems, etc.) commensurate with proposed operational concepts. Performers are expected to propose plans for compelling operational concepts and deployment hardware that inform design requirements, including command and control (C2).
Willow is a two-phase effort, with an 18-month Phase 1 and a 16-month Phase 2. At the end of Phase 1, performers will participate in an at-sea test to demonstrate their counter-sonar capabilities from a single node. The Phase 2 demonstration will be a sea test where multiple (>= 3) nodes demonstrate Phase 1 capabilities extended to a multi-node system.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: DARPA hosts Proposers Days to promote teaming arrangements between researchers, provide potential performers with information on whether and how they might respond to the Government’s research and development solicitations, and to increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation. Therefore, Proposers Days are open only to registered potential proposers.
Participants must register NLT 3:00 p.m. ET on November 3, 2022, at the following website: https://events.sa-meetings.com/WillowProposersDay. Directions to the facility and other materials are also available on the website. There is no registration fee for attending this conference.
