The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture has a requirement for construction work related to the Willapa estuary wetland restoration project. Major items of work consists of structure removal, pollution control, construction surveys, mobilization and demobilization, channel excavation, dike excavation, compacted earthfill, rock rip rap, and archeological monitoring to construct approximately 2723 feet of estuary tide channel following remnant channel patterns, removal of existing dike approximately 5530 feet in total length and placement of earth fill material in depression areas to facilitate drainage during the high and low tide cycle. Dike removal and channel excavation activities on the river side of the dike must be completed during the low tide cycle which could require construction activities during the night hours. This solicitation is for full and open competition and is unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Performance period is approximately 60 calendar days from date of award. This project is subject to the Davis-Beacon Act.
