NOTICE OF BID Westbrook Housing Authority Worthington Manor Renovations & Modifications Project# 154-WHA Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the Town of Westbrook on behalf of the Westbrook Housing Authority, until 2:00 PM on April 4, 2024, at the First Selectman's Office, Westbrook Town Hall, 866 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT 06498 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. To receive consideration bids must be in the hands of the authorized representative, no later than the day and hour mentioned above. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided and in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the appropriate title "Westbrook Housing Authority, Worthington Manor Renovations & Modifications". A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at Worthington Manor, 34 Worthington Drive, Westbrook, CT, on March 8, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the Community Room. All prospective bidders are required to attend. A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, must be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to the Westbrook Housing Authority and shall be properly executed by the Bidder. A I 00% Performance, Labor and Material Bond is also required. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS circular 570. The attention of bidders is directed to certain requirements of this contract which require payment of Davis-Bacon wages, compliance with certain local, state and federal requirements including but not limited to Section 3. This is a Federally funded project. Note: Any addenda to this bid will be issued via email from the plan room. Contractors intending to bid must register with Advanced Reproductions to receive addenda and or additional information. The Town of Westbrook and the Westbrook Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informalities, or to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Town of Westbrook and the Westbrook Housing Authority. All bids will be considered valid for a period of sixty (60) days.
