INVITATION TO BID SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY of PENNSYLVANIA UP-477: WEST GYM ATTIC STEPS REPLACEMENT Slippery Rock University of the PA State System of Higher Education invites Contractors to download bid documents for this project. Project includes demolition and replacement of existing attic access stairs within the second floor of West Gym Building. Scope of work involves demolition of lumber stairs, walls and door for the construction of new walls, door and lumber stairs with new handrail, along with new OSHA compliant fall protection railing with new ship ladder in attic space. Scope of work shall also include minor relocation of existing HVAC vent/duct, piping, lighting, fire sprinkler head within existing drop ceiling and relocation of associated electrical/controls. Work shall be accomplished by a Separate Prime Contractors according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the General Construction Contractor and shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all construction identified on the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of, and subject to approval of the Professional and the University. A Non-mandatory Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on October 6, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the West Gym, Second Floor, 103 Campus Drive, on the campus of Slippery Rock University of PA. located in Slippery Rock, PA 16057. The Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory but highly recommended.
