The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest intends to procure approximately 563 acres of non-commercial thinning, pruning, and slash piling to create fire-resistant stands of conifers. The location for this project is the Wenatchee River Ranger District from the Lake Wenatchee area in the north to the Leavenworth area in the south.

This acquisition is 100% Small Business set aside. The applicable NAICS code is 115310 - Fire Prevention for Forestry with a corresponding size standard of $17.5 million. Offerors will be evaluated on capability, price, past performance and other factors. A contract will be awarded to the offeror whose submittal, in compliance with the solicitation represents the best value to the Government.

The solicitation for this project will be issued on or around June 18, 2013, with offers due around July 5, 2013. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
