The purpose of this initiative is to identify vendor organizations, which have relevant experience in the planning, development and implementation of monitoring software for SSA’s WebSphere environments. SSA is seeking a vendor that has world-class experience implementing a real-time monitoring product that is capable of monitoring as well as analyzing WebSphere applications on both the IBM mainframe and Sun platforms. Of particular interest to SSA, is a vendor with significant experience in providing a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product that is secure, reliable, manageable, maintainable, and scalable and that facilitates the capability to monitor as well as provide performance data on WebSphere applications prior to and during production. The COTS monitoring product must be able to offer ways to improve the WebSphere applications with regard to utilization of system resources and be able to identify potential performance issues prior to deployment into production or if necessary, while in production. Detailed responses to each of the above requirements (with substantiating documentation) are required. The vendor response must provide detailed accounts of how each of the requirements is met. Simple marketing information or incomplete responses will not be considered. Reference to vendor web sites is not considered a valid response. Respondents should indicate whether their software is available on GSA Federal Supply Schedules or any other Government-wide Agency Contract (GWAC). Please submit product cost and/or pricing data, inclusive of annual maintenance, with your response. Respondents should refer to SSA-RFI-09-1029. Electronic responses only must be submitted by November 11, 2008. Faxed information will not be permitted. The size limitation for email attachments is 10 megabytes. MS Word 2002 is the standard word processing software. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME, and the Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted.
