The City of Safford (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: SOUTH CLARIFIER REHABILITATION COS PROJECT 67-757 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall located at 717 West Main Street, Safford, Arizona 85546, until Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: This project includes the rehabilitation of the South Clarifier, located at the City of Safford’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. More specifically, the rehabilitation includes the removal and replacement of the center column, refurbishing the upper and lower rakes, rebuilding the gear drive, cleaning the tank surface and weir, and coating existing metal. The Project has an expected duration of 120 days. Obtaining the Bidding Documents Information and Bidding Documents for the Project are available in digital format by contacting Dave Shreeve at 928-428-3898 or [email protected]. If the Contractor intends to bid on the project, the Contractor shall contact Dave Shreeve and register themselves as a plan holder. Any addenda issued during the bidding process will be emailed to those who have registered with Dave Shreeve as a plan holder. If/when an addendum is issued, the proposed bidder shall confirm receipt of the addendum by email. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than as designated above. Pre-bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference and site inspection for the Project will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Safford Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1395 W. Reclamation Way, Safford, AZ. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The City of Safford reserves the right to accept the lowest responsible bid; to consider alternatives; to reject any or all bids; and to waive irregularities or information in any bid. Bids received after the specified time of closing will be returned unopened. The City of Safford also reserves the right to hold any or all bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening.
