Consultant will be available on an as-needed basis to perform the following types of services: A. Consulting Services Pertaining to Valley Water¿s Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit Project (Project) and Relationship with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Consultant may be called upon to provide consulting services pertaining to the Project and Valley Water¿s interaction with FERC. This may include developing strategies to increase Valley Water¿s effectiveness in coordinating and communicating with FERC staff and leadership at the regional and headquarters levels, or assistance with securing and complying with permits, permissions, or agency requirements. A central goal of these services will be to build a strong working partnership with FERC to ensure the Project¿s success. B. Review Documents and Provide Recommendations. C. Consultant may be called upon to review FERC policies, regulations, and institutional knowledge to help Valley Water optimize its effectiveness in managing and advancing the Project. This may require Consultant to review project documents, including permit applications and environmental compliance documents, and applying expertise and knowledge to make recommendations on how to advance the Project. D. Advice, Assistance, and Recommendations Pertaining to Federal Permits or Permissions for the Project. Consultant may be called upon to provide advice and recommendations on how to secure and comply with federal permits or permissions and FERC requirements.
