SYNOPSIS Solicitation Number: AG-04R3-S-10-0005 Response Date: 6/1/2010 Solicitation Issue Date: 4/29/2010 100% Set Aside for HubZone NAICS: 115310 Forestry Services, $17.5 million WALLOWA-WHITMAN HAND THINNING & PILING This project described requires hand thinning and hand piling of slash and stand density management for project located on the Wallowa Whitman National Forest. It incorporates silvicultural treatments through the process of felling and/or girdling trees to meet spacing, sanitation, quality selection, and slash fuel reduction requirements. Due to NEPA requirements, use of motorized equipment other than hand-held equipment such as power saws and brush cutters will not be permitted off designated roads in the project area without approval of the Contracting Officer. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, inspections, and incidentals. This solicitation will result in an arrangement that includes multiple-award, “INDEFINITE Quantities” (IDIQ) (also known as a task order contract), performance based service contract spanning approximately five (5) years. The quantity shown in the Schedule of Supplies or Services are not a representation of actual quantities to be ordered over the life of the contract, but are estimated quantities of known work available now, and will be used as a means of developing a pool of contractors for competing Task Orders.
