The Washington Mint Commission is an agricultural commodity commission formed in 1966 by a vote of the growers. As a state agency, the main function of the Washington Mint Commission is to promote the general welfare of the state by supporting research activities related to the production of mint plants and the distilling of mint oil by producers in Washington State.
